Jeff Barehand

Board President

Jeff Barehand is an enrolled citizen of the Gila River Indian Community.  He is a 2014 Native Lab Sundance Film Fellow. He is a co-owner of Sky Bear Media, a founding member of the Olympia Film Collective, Board Member of Red Eagle Soaring Native American Youth Theatre, and serves on the Washington FilmWorks Film Leadership Council.  He is a 2018 Fly Filmmaker for the Seattle International Film Festival. He is also a musical stage, TV, and film actor when he has the time.

Russell Brooks

Treasurer

Russell Brooks is a co-founder, producer, director, and writer with the award-winning Olympia Film Collective in Olympia, Washington. In addition to working in various capacities in film, both narrative and documentary, he has judged for the Tacoma Film Festival in Tacoma, Washington, and hosted Locals Only at the Olympia Film Festival. Russell is Southern Cheyenne and Executive Director of Red Eagle Soaring Native Youth Theatre in Seattle, Washington.

Michael Gray

Board Member

Michael Gray is a Professor of Film Production/Media Communication at South Puget Sound Community College. In addition to chasing his own film/audio creations, he has developed media for businesses, nonprofits and artists, created multiple web series, and hosted and facilitated podcasts. He holds an MFA in filmmaking from Ohio University as well as a Ph.D. from the University of Essex in the UK. In his spare time he likes to walk his dogs. 

Misael Martinez

Board Member

Misael is the owner of Media Room, an Olympia-based video production and motion graphics production house.  He is an acclaimed documentary filmmaker from Puerto Rico.  He also serves as the Marketing Committee Chair for the OFC.

Brendon Thompson

Board Member

Brendon is the owner of Skald Media, an Olympia-based video production company. He spent nine years doing motion graphics at KIAH-TV in Houston, after which he worked for YogaOne Studios as the Marketing Coordinator. Brendon is the current chair of the Studio Committee, and has been part of a few award-winning projects while working with the OFC. In his spare time he likes to traverse the great outdoors.
